Gamecube Xbox Controller

I'm trying to do this, and i can't find any info on it at all, Basically i have a dead Gamecube controller and a Dead Xbox contoller wire, and i'm trying to Frakenstien the wire from the gamecube controller into the xbox controller.

Anyone know what i should do?

Well, basically trace where the contacts go and connect those. Is there enough space internally to hold what you want?

Dude not gonna work. They both use different protocols....your gonna need to make a sort of translator for the portocol. "well how do I do that then?" judging by the fact your asking this question I guess your not up to it. "can someone else do it?" maybe.......but I doubt anyone would want to really. sorry dude.

crap I was hoping you wouldn't say that.

I was hoping for some miracle standard out there, but i guess thats just a dream when it comes to some forms of electronics.

Anyway, Thanks for that piece of info.. you wouldn't happen to have circuit diagrams for them would you?

Kinda like I said......I don't think anyone actually made one......so either make one yourself....or look for a commercial one?

If you wanted to buy something to do this instead, well, you can't.

They have PS2 to GC controller adapters, but they don't have Xbox to GC controller adapters. However, they have Xbox to PS2 controller adapters, which you could technically chain to a PS2 to GC controller adapter. ...What? It would work!

The only problem is that you'd loose analog functionality of the L and R buttons, but that'd happen anyway, as the Xbox trigger buttons are digital.

Are you sure? I was pretty sure they were analog. (Ive never played a game where they didnt preform a digital function though. ie toss grenade)

I just checked wikipedia, it agrees with me.
