Yeah this was weird. Jones and I finished recording the podcast, loaded up Yahoo and there it was.

Seriously, had it been Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears it wouldn't have been a surprise. But this is odd.

My first thought was "Who?". Second thought? "Wow, too bad the only thing people will remember him for is Brokeback Mountain."

Aw, I'm sorry. That was uncalled for. :C

Actually, the movie I'm going to remember him from is Lords of Dogtown. And probably The Dark Knight as well... But he was an incredible actor. It's a sad thing no matter who it is...

Don't act like you don't know the name!

My monthly grieving goes to this guy's family, I suppose!

Some of you on this forum sound really cold-hearted by just saying you don't care.

I won't remember him for his movies, because i've not seen a movie with him in. It is sad that he died though, especially if it was suicide.

Well, if it was suicide we should be glad he's dead. That sounds mean. let me elaborate.

If you were so depressed that you wanted to kill yourself, you have two paths to take, kill yourself or don't. Killing yourself leads to ceasing to exist. all your problems go away, and if you're spiritual some things may get better after death or something. Heaven, Nirvana, and whatnot (maybe not with suicide, but still...)

Not killing yourself, all your problems remain. You keep on living in the world that you hate so much, that is causing you so much suffering. Even worse, FAILING to kill yourself, when famous, leads to more unwanted media attention, possibly one of the causes of the miserable life.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again! He woulda offed himself eventually, on his first attempt it was nice and clean. No tabloids or the sort bombarding him with question of his attempted suicide.

Some are saying that he got so into character, or was so exhausted at night, that he couldn't sleep. He'd barely get three or four hours a night. So he was just trying to sleep, and took too many pills, and died.

That's just rumor though.

Oh, and to some of you dick heads out there - wait until the autopsy of his body before you spout "Yes, my ePenis is HUGE and I KNOW the guy killed himself so now I must belittle a dead man for my pleasure!" At least wait until it's confirmed to feed your ePenis and iEgo.

RIP, man.

I never seen any of him movies I don't think. But just the same, he's too young. May Heath Ledger Rest in Peace.

Also he death has put a whole entire movie in jeopardy. The film in question is, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. He was the film's biggest financial supporter. And possible director.

I've seen 2 movies he was in (soon to be 3, why must July be so far away?). Good actor, just not one of the big names (I didn't have a clue who he was). Sucks that he died.

I like him. He's quite the funny one. Accidental suicide sits with me, he didn't seem to be the type to go ahead and kill himself, but who knows?

Well if he did commit suicide it would be pretty cowardly considering his 2 year old daughter. I'm banking on unintentional OD.

I liked him a lot in the Patriot which I just bought on Blu-ray this weekend.

I am guilty of joy from hearing the completion of the Dark Knight before his death though.
