controller damage

I was using a crappy madcatz controller back in the PSONE days, and while playing Crash Team raceing the left analog broke, it was only held together by plastic.

I ACCIDENTLY while playing Wii bowling without a strap, chucked my Wiimote at my friend`s TV, Lucky it was a CRT or it would have been bye bye TV and then having my friends family mad at me.

My PS2 GH2 controller is still in 100% working order, same for my Wii`s les paul.

I had a yellow intec GCN controller back around when Starfox adventures came out, use the thing forever until it crapped out one day. I also have a Interact Superpad 3rd party GCN controller from back when I only had 2-3 GCN games, and still have it 4-5 years later and still works, although the rumble is loud and the Z button is kind of wonky. And I had 2 other Big fat 3rd party GCN controller with rubber grips used it until the left and right joystick went wonky in them. All my busted controllers have been 3rd party junk, which I try to avoid now.

I had an NES controller floating in water when my basement flooded, still works perfectly.

NES controllers would probably survive being thrown through a wall.

My friend has gone through like 5-10 Xbox controllers because of his little brother, and like 4 GCN controller, 0 360 controllers, 1-2 N64 controllers, 0 ps2, and 0 ps3 controllers.

Wii remote. Playing tennis, did a backhand, let go of it, the strap snapped and it flew into the wall. Nothing actually physically broke except something was jingling around inside of it... Never found out what it was.

Probably just some sort of plastic tab, they break off in everything from controllers to cartridge games etc. Even cell phones develop it on occasion. I don't see how people managed to break the straps, even if they are "inadequate," you don't have to move THAT fast or hard to get the game to do what you want.

Worst that has happened to me was when my sister threw a Wii Remote. It just hit the concrete wall and ricocheted across the room, scaring the crap out of everyone, but nobody/nothing was hurt.

I know someone who is really good at Guitar Hero and has had it since it first came out. He has gone through so many guitars just breaking under the strain of his awesomeness. He's tenth best in the country, BTW.

sounds like he's still too rough with it though, there's really no excuse for breaking one of those, people just tend to bash everything WAY too hard. I'm surprised they don't have some super expensive "competition" controller for it out like the metal dance pad for dance dance revolution designed for extra smooth operation and incredible durability.

I dunno, he was just really, really sick at it. It was cool to just sit and watch him play as well as he did.

Worst thing i have ever done was i threw my whole sega at the wall. It survived. Plaster didn't.
