hi guys, as some of you noticed I moded this latop a few time ago adding a battery mod and a external antenna mod. but I doesn´t finished my wanted stuff on the machine.

well I know this latop is very old.
but I want overclock the integrated graphics and the cpu
2.60 ghz intel celeron cache L1 8kb cache L2 128kb)

I tried in the bios, but this latop bios is crap, there aren´t a lot of configs avalible..... (I also tried to update the bios to latest version and no luck)

I also tryed in google, but no luck, all sites I saw said integrated graphic cards are crap and CANT be overclocked, I also haven´t found any software for the cpu.

I want at least make a "bit" overclockng, I also dont care about any posible risks for try something dangerous.

did someone know how give this latop a small speedup?

Somhow, i doubt this laptop is @ 2.6gHz.

as you can see it is 2.60 ghz (celeron) :wink:


About the overclock, I know a lot of tools for ati cards like "ati tray tools", and anothers for nvidia, But I dont know any tools for intel integrated graphics or latops cpu, did someone know any software for make this posible?

You can't overclock an integrated graphics card, don't bother trying.

anyway is there any GENERIC software for change the cpu speed?

I remember some tool that comes with asus motherboards drivers disc.

I also hear some guy on a forum overclocked a little the intel integrated graphics and cpu a little, but didn´t found any software.

Yes and no.

I remember one software called "SoftFSB" or something, and there were others.

The software relies on your motherboard having very specific chips on it, it supported a bunch back in the day, but then the motherboard makers just started including the same software so I think the whole idea kind of died out.

Given that it is a laptop, you are probably out of luck.

thx for the help,I tested the "softfsb" software, and it seems don´t work with my motherboard :? ,I also surrender to overclock this board and the graphics card.

anyway I tried something to improve graphics ,updating latest intel drivers,sharing more ram memory to the graphics, and I also modified some driver graphic options to give more graphics strenght and I also modified another options to give more graphics priority to the system,and then I finally got a small-medium speed-up on the 3d aplications ,for the moment is enough for me.

That is not an old laptop by any standards. My laptop is a 486SX33 (no math coprocessor so i cant even run linux) has 20ish megs of ram, runs windows 3.11, 1 meg graphics, passive matrix 640x480 10 inch screen, floppy drive, 260 meg HDD, im pretty sure it was made in 1994

I have a 386SX, 1MB RAM that I'm actually using for something useful. Beat that!
If I had kasar's lappie, I'd be glad. (It's faster than anything I currently own :p )
