PSP analog stick on PSone?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Is it possible to wire a PSP analog stick to function on a PSone?

It should be, considering you can wire a PSone analog to a PSP.

And you CAN order PSP joysticks just on their own (replacement parts, you know)... That would go for a super small PSOne portable. Hey, I like it!

Of course, there are many who don't like the PSP's joystick, but I do.

yeah, I saw a website with psp sticks so that's why I got so curious :)
And since I'm building a PSoneP right now that's very good news.
The only big problem right now is the case design..

EDIT: I just thought of something, is the PSP analog stick clickable?
Since some games probably use the L3 and R3 buttons.

But you don't need the vibration function. It won't affect the gameplay any if you don't have the it.

I don't think so. But you can always add a little button next to the sticks to elevate that problem. A button about the size of a PSP menu button would be small enough.

Or you could just shave off some plastic on the "button" part of the tact switch and glue the psp analog stick to it to give you a similar L3 or R3 button.

Yea that could work. But how durable and lasting would it be?
