hmmm... Do you know how to read and write to an Excel sheet? or something like that? that would make this much easier.

Well,

Technically I do know how to read an excel sheet. Honestly I find working with excel automation to be a bit of a pain. Also it tends to vary by version of Excel. But if you're still bent on excel I can probably through an excel example up here tomorrow (when I get back to work).

You use RegValue to query for a registry value, and WriteToRegistry to create/edit keys.

w.e, we ended up doing a text document for each variable, it worked well. We also ended up doing a chat room for the whole class.
