PS2 - Are There Any Fuses In The DVD Drive Itself?

Post by Lord_Turkey »

Took apart my PS2 and decided to test if it still worked - it didn't no noise from the dvd drive and no action either.

Checked all the fuses on the PS2 main motherboard but they all seem to light up with a continuity checker but still when I power on the PS2 the blue eject light does not work, the drive fails to eject or show any signs of life so I'm questioning if the problem is from the dvd drive itself and the failure of the eject button is an indicator to it?

I would say it is the ribbon cable but if it is not, yes there are fuses in the fat PS2 DVD drive.
