Genesis A/V outs?

If all goes well, I should be getting a Sega Genesis in a couple days, but it will have the old school RF instead of A/V cables. Does anyone have a brand/seller they would recommend for a Sega Genesis model 2 that has video and both channels of audio outputs? Also, it needs to work with a 32X (don't know why any wouldn't but who knows, I'm still not clear how the 32X plugs in) since I was just given one a few days ago. I don't want to go through eBay but any online retailer or Amazon.com retailer is acceptable.

edit: I didn't see anything relevant in that thread, everything I saw was about Genesis 3 or Radica cartridge slots and stuff. I mean, I saw 2 on Amazon.com, but they seemed kind of expensive at $10 shipped and I wanted some feedback to see if there was a cheaper alternative (commercially available, I'm not going to make it myself) or a particular brand to stay away from, etc.

but that's for making your own? right? I don't want to mess with all of that, I just want to buy one like these:

though now I realize the second one is the only one that will work with a Genesis model 2, the one I should be buying monday if all goes well. When I said alternative, I meant if there was a cable for, say, a DVD player or something that would be cheaper to buy than the official Sega plugs.

even though this is off topic, I thought it would be better to put it here instead of start a new thread.

#1 the reset button doesn't work on my model 2 sega genesis, is this cause for concern? how does the reset button work/function (duh it resets the console, I mean mechanically/electronically)?

#2 I'm using the RF adapter and I notice a decent amount of "rainbow"ing especially in grays, is this normal for the RF adapter? It seems like the red, green, and blue are just a pixel or so off of each other, causing a slight misalignment.


I'm just wondering because if there is anything that would need fixing, I want to try to get it done now while there is still another one at my local used game store (if I break it) and before years down the road whatever is wrong manifests itself and bricks my console and they are too rare and expensive to be worth it.

well, I took the top off of my console and looked around in the vicinity of the reset button and it all looks immaculate, I can't figure out why it won't work. It's only a minor inconvenience, but I was just concerned it was hinting at something more important being wrong. Oh well, I'll just have to push the power button twice instead.

lol! yeah, I thought I'd used a model 2 with a non-working reset button before. I guess they go out more often then I thought, oh well, if there's one thing I'm OK with going out/not working on my genesis, its the Reset button.
