Sony Mylo 1 vs Sony Mylo 2 vs iPhone with only wifi enabled

Hey everybody! I reeeeeeaaaaaalllly need some help on this. I got rid of my iPod Touch. I know your thinking "Your Stupid", but I have my reasons. Ok, so help me decide. I want a device with internet, videos, calling, music, and youtube. Guess what?. 2 of the 3 products do all of it. The Sony Mylo 1 cant go on youtube, but if its really neccessary, I can live without tube. Anyway heres the specs:

Sony Mylo 2:

Resembling Helio's Ocean, the Mylo is a long, thick lozenge with a bright and sharp 3.5-inch 800-by-480-pixel color touch screen on the front and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Control buttons sit on the edges of the touch screen, and to the left of the display there's an orange navigation joystick. Side bumpers light up in various colors when you have new messages or for other alerts. At 2.55 by 5.16 by .82 inches (HWD) and 6.56 ounces, the chunky slab isn't likely to be called slim or light, but it's in the same realm as the Ocean and the various Sidekick models.

The device feels well built, and the sliding function is tight and smooth. The all-important QWERTY keyboard's buttons are a little wobbly and don't feel as solid as, say, the Sidekicks' excellent keyboards. You use various modifier keys to access numbers and symbols, keeping the size of the keyboard down. There are dedicated music control keys on the slide-out keyboard, and a camera button on the top of the unit.

For instant messaging, the Mylo supports AIM, Google Talk, Skype, and Yahoo!. They're feature-rich clients, too: The AIM and Yahoo! IM apps show buddy icons and away messages, and the Skype client even lets you send and receive files. The inclusion of Skype means the device can also make VoIP calls. The Mylo has a built-in microphone, so you don't have to use a headset, but using one really improves sound quality; without it, Skype calls sounded hollow. The device can't handle SMS text messaging, unlike the $149 Wi-Fi–only Zipit Wireless Messenger 2 handheld, which has a special gateway for SMS.

To clear things up on the iPhone, I know I said it was a waste of money, but as I read on the internet you can activate it without using a cell phone provider, so its basically an iPod Touch with more features. Also, I will jailbreak it and put Truphone on it, which is Sip Voip. So what should I pick guys? This is a hard decision because they all are good in there own ways. Sony Mylo 1: Cheap. iPod Touch clone. Sony Mylo 2: Its the same as Mylo 1 but basically better in everyway. Except price. iPhone with just wifi: Same as all above but very stilish. Help!

A jailbroken iPod Touch does literally everything an iPhone can do without EDGE or Phone. Yes, Notes, Google Maps, and even VOiP clients are in the works if you plug in a microphone. NikoTalkie works flawlessly.

I know I used to have one, and I did all of that except voip, because I knew they were developing it but I also knew that you needed a dock connector to make it work and I dont want it to look like that. I want it all into one.

I dont get whats up with these "walmart" mp3 players (walmart has everything, get it?). When I want the internet I just use a computer. When Im not near computer I interact with the people around me. Maybe Im just old and 'uncool' but I have never felt the need to watch youtube when Im on a bus or at a restaurant.

Anyways. thats just my opinion.

My other opinion is that you shouldn't buy Apple products.

well, you said the mylo can't SMS message (which im guessing is just normal text messaging?) if so, then you can just text peoples phones from AIM.

Agreed. Trust me, I've been on every one of those platforms for extended periods of time, and I must say, it doesn't get any better than the iPod Touch. The Mylo line is functional but very crippled, and the iPhone only gives you a microphone and a camera. Not worth it, in my opinion.

My vote is for the Nokia N810 handheld. It excels at all your goals. It's 800x480 screen and web browser renders webpages better. Lots of IM clients, and Skype on it. Youtube videos can be viewed in the webbrowser directly, unlike the iPod Touch and iPhone (not sure if the Mylo 2 can view Youtube directly from the browser).

If you're willing to forgo a hardware keyboard the N800 is much cheaper, and does the same things.

The N810 has 2GB internal (I've read its mostly taken up by maps for the GPS, they can be deleted). It also takes MiniSD and MicroSD cards, something a certain other device can't do. It also has a keyboard, and can it can be programmed for without the manufacturer crapping their pants. Screen is also higher resolution. Personally, if I had the choice between an iPhone/Touch and a N810 (with only the internal memory) for free, I'd take the N810. Just seems a lot better for what I'd use it for.

Seriously, I've never understood that. The iPod Touch is like 100 dollars less than an iPhone (if even, I haven't checked ), so wouldn't you shell out the extra bucks for phone functionality, and from-anywhere internet?

That why if I got a iPhone, I would put my go phone SIM Card in it.

OK here what I know most cell phones(Mainly Smartphones). They have around 512MB of memory(maybe more). And only a few of the phones have WiFi. A few of them also have Touch Screens, like the Treo. And most of them have cameras. And some of them run Windows Mobile

The iPhone: It has a 4GB or 8GB of memory. It also has WiFi. It has one of the most advance touch screens out. It also has a camera. It's also is the only phone that runs a version of Mac OS X. And a few other things on top of that. Make it one of if not the most advance phones on the market.
