PSOS powers up, screen is on, no video

and I'm sure that video is getting to it. no sound either.

pressing volume gives me the volume bar, same with contrast
is thier a third place to connect composite video?

Where do you have it connected now? Have you tried putting 5 volts on the enable pin?

It is connected to my n64. I have tried giving it 5v from my n64 and from its 7805.

I traced to composite line to an lm1881m. what does this chip do? can I bypass it?

The LM1881 is a video sync separator which the rest of the circuitry probably relies on for sync information so I don't think you can bypass it.

Have to ask: Is the ribbon cable plugged in all the way and securely?

There's really only two places to connect Composite video. The pin and circle on the back are directly connected, and there's some weird spot to the right on the back that the Zenith screens use.

PSOne screen audio is always a problem. I for one broke it, and bought a separate amp for it. Saved me loads of trouble.

Connected HP pins correctly? Audio to the correct spot for composite video? Tried plugging it back in to the original connectors and getting sound from your PSOne, or can you not do that anymore?

or can you not do that anymore?

I'll just buy a new one. I'll sell this one for $15 or so + shipping to whomever wants it for parts or whatnot, I did the led mod with 5mm leds though(its just fatter, it lights fine.)

Any takers?
