well, I'm no expert, but from what I've read, Hip gear screen pads and ps1 screens are your best bet. Hip gear is 2.5" and ps1 is 5". They are both extraordinarally well documented too. Don't be lulled into buying a gamecube lcd by it's price. It made my beautiful atari 2600's graphics look bad. Imagine that.

Yeah, I used a PS1 screen, had a lot of luck with that. They seem to be very hardy too, I've done some nasty voltage mess ups on mine, and it's still ticking. I've had it survive more punishment than the average NOAC. Plus, it's a nice choice for NESp's because you need to have those huge carts anyways, why not have a big screen too?
Emulation isn't accurate. There is no substitute for real hardware!
