No, it couldn't. At least not without a whole mess of coding. The xbox version wasn't made by Valve.

By the way,

Steam: Cowsgoquack101
*sigh* I almost forgot, people are way to technical here.

I am trying to say is, IF it was coded to run on the Wii it could..... but barely

well yeah, it plays HL2 just fine (not on high settings, mind you). But it won't let me get the demo. I suppose ATI => Nvidia => Geforce is kind of a stretch, eh?

bicostp and someone else talking about Gmod9, my server will work fine for you. I patched the SRCDS files so they don't connect to Steam servers any more, and will accept any version from the client. It's hosted on a collocated server in Lynn, MA with 15mbit down and up.

Check below for the address or simply public.facewan.com:27019

Also on the ATI promotion, you can fool Steam into thinking you have an ATI card...

Yup, it connects! However it spits out this error and disconnects:

Disconnect: Server uses different class tables.

This wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that I'm not running CS:S, would it? :C

Sometimes gmod9 is stupid, that error sounds strange... I'm not sure why it would say that.

Try going to the console (~ key, enabled it in the advanced keyboard options), and type connect public.facewan.com:27019

It sounds like you have an older version of Gmod9, that is what that error means. My patch cannot stop that from happening, my patch sorts out problems that were happening with using different appids, and thus different "versions". Try reinstalling gmod9 using this EXE: http://facewan.com/downloads/GMod-9.0.4.exe

Or check your SteamAppId in gmod9's gameinfo.txt for 220 (I doubt this, you definitely have an older version of gmod)

How?

And i might talk my mom into letting me download this on to her tower. It only 3 years old and it has a ATI Graphics Card. Then transfer the game to my computer.

Who knows if the Namco Portable will ever become a reality? :P

Code: Select all

SteamAppID 220 //This will mount all the GCFs we need (240=CS:S, 220=HL2).
That line? It's 220, I guess. I'll try installing with the .exe you linked to tomorrow. (It's getting kinda late to be messing with stuff.) I assume I'll have to uninstall the existing copy?

Like I edited into another post, I don't have CS:S installed. I figured out how to get around that requirement. (The only other Source games I have installed are HL2 and Portal. It says "Half-Life 2: Deathmatch - Pre-Load Complete" for Deathmatch, which I assume means it's eating up some hard drive space without letting me actually play the game.) Could that be the problem? If it is I might as well get Gmod 10 somehow.

Thanks for the help, by the way. :)

That's your server? I've been playing on it fairly frequently. :D
