I am Gutting my controller (wireless) for a FOF/GH guitar controller. I am making one. But anyways I have a question about the analog sticks. For my frets you know that there are five of them... is the analog 5 controls, or 9??
I know its at least 5 b/c of up, down, left, right, and pushed down. But what about corners? like up-left or up-right, etc, etc.....

I think it is 5 and for corners it just registers two at the same time.
Just like with the digital pads, if you push up and left at the same time, its not a whole new button, just two at once. Digital pads and analog sticks are basically the same thing, its just that one uses potentiometers, and one uses normal button presses. Thats why its so easy to turn a d-pad into an analog stick and vice versa.
