Decent game shops in London or Brighton

Well It's that time of year again so I'm visiting family and this time it's in London and Brighton. I know quite a few of the members here are british and could help me out with finding some decent used video game stores. I'm really looking for Dreamcast stuff but older stuff is great too. At the moment I'm in Brixton, anyone know of any stores in the area that would have games? Also you may have noticed I was without internet for like a week and all I can say is DUKE NUKEM FOREVAR!!!

GameStation is one to visit, look at gamestation.co.uk (look on "store locator", one in Brighton, lots in London. They do Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, (some N64), (some SNES), PC and also current systems.

My local GameStation got rid of all it's retro stuff

Went in and had a moan at them and guess what their excuse was..

Old gear doesn't really sell at Christmas and we need th espace for modern stuff

I just said that the modern stuff was crap and walked out. Don't think I'll be welcome in there for a while. Also ruined my dreams of a summer job

Not like that's a bad thing. Some employers don't like seeing people have worked at stores like GameStation or GameStop (the chain brands), because they want someone who actually works - not someone who plays VIDYA GAEMS all day.

Yes, GameStation are reducing their shelves of old retro stuff, however they do have some shelf space for it, and in the bargain bins on the floor. Anyway, best place to buy is e-bay, and cheaper too.

They carried NES's and the old school stuff, now all there is is gamse stop and they suck. They bought everybody out.

well you have the usual, Game, HMV, Virgin (now Zaavi) and the like

Only Game and Gamestation are completely game centered, others are just general music/DVD/etc stores

Gamestation is about as independant as it gets

apart from actual one off independant shops, but i dont know brighton or london that well so i couldnt say

If there is one in Brighton it will most certainly be in the Lanes probably

For Retro, there is a wealth of weird second hand and junk shops in brighton which are good for that sorta stuff. They're also all in the Lanes

Well I went to the gamestation and was pleased enough by the modest retro section. I got myself Metropolis Street Reacer and Chu Chu Rocket for the Dreamcast and Aladdin for the Super Famicom. I also got my friend in Spain some stuff (solar jetman, Clay Fighters 63, Armorines, and Lemmings) since he got me a DC lightgun.
