That's what she said! :P

And now for something constructive :P : @Bic: That looks really nice! Should look great for us DS/PSP/PDA/whatever web browser users! Keep it up.

Success! The automatic image resizing script works! Turns out the problem was that it tried to call the images by a script name instead of by the tag or something like that.

Full size kitten is full size:

PSP size kitten fits the screen he's on:

However PSP size kitten doesn't fit the DS viewport:

At least, not without refreshing the page:

Note: That's the <i>same</i> image, just dynamically resized with JS.

So is it done yet?

But, does the PSP/DS Support the Javascript for the image resizer?
Why is it that every time I post in a thread, it dies?

For the most part, the pages are rough-cut. (The PM forms need work next.) They still need tweaking for appearance and consistency, but I could have a preliminary version up this weekend if you guys really wanted. (It will be a test board on my site, not here.)

They should have some support, at least.

Is there gonna be some easier way to switch back and forth? I sometimes come here on the PSP, but I also come here on my PC, and I don't look forward to annoying switching...

I don't want to make an "I'm leaving" thread, but I've sort of lost interest in this board. So if you notice that I'm gone, that's why.

Hopefully it will be able to detect what you're using by the user agent and switch accordingly. Or we could set up an extra copy of phpbb in another folder that points to the same database, for example forums.benheck.com/mobile. The "regular" forum's header will need a script that analyzes the browser's user agent to automatically redirect handheld devices to the mobile directory, which will also make forum links work properly. (We'll have to see what Ben thinks before anything happens, of course.)

Don't worry, you shouldn't have to manually switch once everything's set up.

I've been thinking. The skin for moible devices would also be great for people you uses the Wii Internet Channel(Opera Web Browser). As you know the Wii's internet browser does not display webpages normaly. So maybe with a little bit of tweeking in skins programing. That would be great for some of us who use the Wii's Web Browser to browse the forum. I'm willing to use my Wii as a Guinea Pig in the testing of it.

Who knows if the Namco Portable will ever become a reality? :P

Very nice! Would this even crunch down small enough to fit on a cell phone screen?
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

Thank god. I really look forward to this, Bic. I pretty much hate my PSP, but the internet browsing, while crappy, is all I have left to do with it.

Then I guess your not running custom firmware?

EDIT:

Oh, and bic, I can try it on my PSP for you.

I have the custom firmware, but my DS does what I want. Plus I may end up getting an iPod Touch. Actually, Bic, if you happen to have all of the time in the world, you could make an AJAX iPhone/iPod Touch app...
