Take some wet hide from a slaughtered cow that would be used for leather. Wrap the iPod in it, as it dries the leather will shrink and crush the iPod.
take a potato gun, load it up with a mixture of some vodka, rubbing Alcohol, and gas (use parents permission of course), put the very flammable mixture in the barrel, place the iPod inside. Light the touch hole and aim at a brick wall.

And a sabot, or else the ipod will just get really toasty and maybe make it a few feet from the barrel. Just get a potato, cut it into fourths (so that it looks like a circle cut into fourths when looking down the barrel), and shove the ipod into the potato before you put it down the barrel. Then the potato will cause the pressure build up to get the ipod out the tube, and fall away when no longer needed.Kurt_ wrote:Loving the potato gun thing, but you'd need a high speed camera to enjoy it fully.

Not that I condone the blatant destruction of brand new, shiny, multi-touch devices, but I think you should do it in a Rube Goldberg fashion... something with pullies that will tear it in half. That would totally make up for the destruction of any brand new, shiny, multi-touch device.
...sorta like gamer2's idea but the opposite, and less cruel (leather is murder, loljkz, but seriously).

He's destroying the Nano, not the Touch.Edutainment wrote:Not that I condone the blatant destruction of brand new, shiny, multi-touch devices, but I think you should do it in a Rube Goldberg fashion... something with pullies that will tear it in half. He isn't killing the Touch, he is killing another ipod to make up for the sin of getting the ipod Touch.Edutainment wrote:Not that I condone the blatant destruction of brand new, shiny, multi-touch devices, but I think you should do it in a Rube Goldberg fashion... something with pullies that will tear it in half. @CTFan: So, do you want it?

Okay, I'm trading for vskid's already dead iPod, so for all of you who still feel the need to complain, you now have absolutely no reason to!
A controlled explosion of some sort would be nice, but I dunno if I can get my hands on thermite in time for Christmas eve. The potato gun idea sounds pretty damn sweet, but I doubt my mom'll let me build one just to blow something up like this. Seeing as the harddrive is missing out of this one, it's got some space in it; how about shoving it full of gunpowder, dousing it with rubbing alcohol, throwing the match, and booking it? Then the smashing would ensue, of course!
