That's amazing! My Lifebook only gets (with max screen brightness and wifi) 1.5 hours under XP and 2 under ubuntu (don't understand why they are so different; might mean I have to change some setting in XP...). I do plan to get a new battery, but damn... 7.5 hours!

Yep! I made sure I got one with ridiculous amounts of battery life, because its primary function is as a note-taking machine at school. Can't have 6 pages of AP Gov chapter summaries suddenly vanish!

my lifebook gets probably 3-4 hours! and just for the lulz

Highly doubt that about everything I've quoted there, and your processor speed is wrong.

How about you run your computer on some app like EVEREST Ultimate and tell us the actual specs.

I dont think Its leeching 256 off my ram, as my freind has the same card and it doesnt leech off his ram. :S

Also, I consider my Laptop custom made, AS the same model laptop from MDG's website only comes with a 256mb nvidia GO 7600. And mine comes with a 758mb Nvidia 8600M GT.

Guess what, turns out your CPU is actually only 1.50 Ghz. Yes it's Dual Core, but it isn't 2.8 or Two 1.4 CPUs. Have Fun. (I'm laughing at you cause my Macbook has a better CPU...hahaha)

Oh, and yes, it is stealing 256Mb of Ram. See, Vista is gay. When I had Vista installed on my Dell, my graphic card reported 512 MB, but in reality it is only 256 MB. XP says its 256 MB, I know its 256 MB. 512 - 256 = 256 MB of Ram Stolen. Same for you bub.

Oh, and 5-9 hours? BS! Impossible with all that new hardware and Vista.
