There are none. The Zenith version is identical in hardware, mobo design, screen, everything! Except that there is one 100uF capacitor on there that isn't on the Sony version.
Depends what you are doing. If you going to be using RGB, you'll want to go with the sony screen, because it has the needed plug on the left side of the screen. I don't think the identical zenith screen has it.

Its not a resolution difference, its a quality difference, colors look better and don't bleed. Its noticeable, but I don't think its enough to go out of your way for it. Pretty much, if the system will output RGB easily and your screen takes it, do it.
Many people choose to use more than 3 LEDs (I've used 4). However I think ben chooses 3 because there are 3 proper places, that fit the led's well and they provide a good amount of light (still dimmer than the tube).
Truthfully, it depends on your LEDs. Some are so bright 3 are equal in brightness to stock backlighting. I tend to go with 6 on a PSone screen (One on each end, and 2 on each bend, pointing out). It looks great.
