FS: Cheap Zenith Xbox Screen (PSone screen)

Post by khaag »

I don't feel like tinkering around and trying to fix it, so I decided I'll just sell it for cheap.

The screen is LED modded with 4 bright white LED's, and the board has been made smaller my removing the top portion where the inverter was. The problem is that it is displaying the picture inverted. Soooo... if anyone feels like dinking around with it and trying to fix it, I'm thinking about $25 shipped. PM me with offers. The screen mentioned is the one in this thread

Right now US and Canadian currency is virtually the same. I'll take $25 CAD or USD.

And yes, its NTSC, and no, I don't know a way to fix it. That's why i'm selling it for cheap :P

khaag, I know you said that your done fooling around with this screen. But would it be possible that you put the screens ribon cable in up sided down? That might be why the screens picture is inverted.

Ok take on sync stripper ic. Then theres a circuit somewhere on the internet called "video inverter" strip sync, put in inverter. Add sync back. Tada.

edit: I think this was it http://oh3tr.ele.tut.fi/~ftp/video/videoinv.gif

Just how hard is it to fix? That is to say, I would buy it for sure, but I want to know I can fix it...

ok you'd need to be able to get a sync stripper ic. assemble it with the neccesary parts. Then build the inverter circuit. (and then you stil run the risk of it not being the right kind of "inversion" it should be though)

Hmm, well maybe there is a better way of doing it. Like there has to be a reason it is inverted in the first place right?
