My Xbox got back yesterday. I shipped it off in it's box on the 27th of November. Anyway, I was just wondering what's the dig deal? Why does everyone complain about their service taking so long? It took them 6 days to ship me a new Xbox. I've never read of it being this amount of time, so I was just wondering, anyone who's had to ship theirs, how long did it take? Was I just lucky?
When my friend sent his in, they said 10-20 days. After a month he called in because he was getting mad. They ended up sending him a second 360 because they said it probably got lost in the mail. After another week or two he got his 360 back and the next day he got another. I swear that kid is the luckiest kid in the world. The only problem was he only had one set of cords for them but still.
You got extremely lucky. For most people it seems to be 3 to 4 weeks.
I sent mine in on 11/16 and still no soup for me. I'm into the third week now, so I hope I get it back in the next week and a half. All they had to do was replace the disc drive. How hard can that be for pete's sake? LOL
My friend got his back in like a week and a half, but that was a few months ago and all he had was a dead DVD drive, and Microsoft told him it would take around a week and a half to 2 weeks.
Mine finally got shipped back yesterday, so it should be arriving sometime this week. So just over a month to get it sent in and back for a DVD drive replacement. Not exactly stellar, but as long as they actually fixed it I'll be happy.
Jones mine took 2 weeks. (they said month) mine also had disk drive problems. I believe they kinda sent me another unit though. They don't actually fix yours. They just give you another refurb usually. (also your not gonna be able to get your marketplace content out without logging in (probably)
