Heh, I said delayed, not closed, but many schools are closed.
This is where school gets closed for rain.

I think you were being judgmental with your comment...but I think you meant it as sarcasm?
Read up a little :P

* Some other peak 24-hour rain totals from around Seattle: Lake Forest Park had 4.44", Greenwood neighborhood at 4.65", the National Weather Service office in Sand Point had 5.07", the UW campus reported 4.37", Capitol Hill had 4.39", the Pacific Science Center had 4.40", and Boeing Field had 4.33".
(Thanks to Mark Albright with the U.W. Atmospheric Sciences Department for researching the data.)
Those in-city numbers suggest it might have been wetter in the actual city limits of Seattle with this storm than the record-holding 2003 storm, which focused more of its energy to the south King County area.
* Seattle already has 5.65" of rain this month -- already fulfilling its quota four days in (normal month is 5.62").
* Seattle went from 32 degrees on Saturday evening with snow to a near-record 59 degrees on Monday...

You get the idea, I suppose it was slightly more than "rain". Wind speeds reached 100MPH+, power outages and fallen trees seem common. Although, we kept our power!
On the news right now (Komo 4) they are showing people rowing to their homes (kayaks, boats, canoes, etc.) they showed a house that flooded more than 10 feet high (compared to the level it was at while recording the shot, so it was 10+ feet).

We got a 90 minute delay because of freezing rain. It is SO cool. Grass has never looked so awesome.

EDIT: How the hell did I type acid? I meant freezing. Hell of a mistake though, huh?[/b]

I don't want to make an "I'm leaving" thread, but I've sort of lost interest in this board. So if you notice that I'm gone, that's why.

I found out why all of my packages are late!
Komo 4 showed a shot of some shipping trucks, driving extremely slow through 6 inches of water. It would really suck to be doing that right now and I forgive Fedex and USP for the late packages. :P
