Yeah, it originally had my name in the shading, I think it got screwed up from optimization (? ImageReady GIF creation).

Really, we don't close school unless we get like 4+ Inches of snow and ice on the roads.

And supposedly where I live, we are supposed to get around 2-8 inches of snow tonight

but I dought school will be cancelled, because whenever everyone at my school is thinking school might be closed the next day like today, school never closed.

bout 15% of the time it accually does hapeen though.

Haha, wimps.

It takes a good 10 inches of snow on the road overnight (early morning, really) before the plows can get to the roads ahead of the buses to close the BUSES for school, most of the time our school stays open with no buses unless it's really bad.

I feel ya, man. We get blizzard conditions here and ice storms all winter long and school hardly ever closes. I think we had 2 snow days last year. Much warmer places actually get many more than us northerners do, as at the first sign of a snowflake, the world stops turning.

My cousin, who lives in a suburb of Atlanta, had damn near an entire week off of school for about 2 inches of snow. 2 inches.

In the 7.5 years I have lived in Utah, school has never been canceled for me because of weather. The one time we got enough snow that school might've been canceled (at least a foot, and several more inches on that over the following days) was over Christmas Break, so it didn't matter.

yup.. as long as there is a coating of snow, they close down the WHOLE city.. im from up north, so im used to lots o' snow, but down here.. it's.. it's.. wierd..

I'm lucky to get a single snow day once every year. Usually it's 1-2 every 2-3 years.

Yesterday I was so happy because it was warm in the morning. Not much wind (wind is what REALLY gets you in the morning, wet hair and all) and a good -10 C or so. Can't wait until January...

I'm fine with walking to the bus stop and waiting for it for about 5-10 minutes. It's cold but bearable. My favourite days are the days where my hair freezes near the end of my street, that means it's a warm day! (On the cold ones, it usually freezes halfway down, about 100-150 feet, for you Americans)

Cold is fun though. It's much easier to warm up than to cool down. And there's so many more ways. Fires, hot drinks, hot foods, blankets, etc.

Don't get me wrong, it still gets a good 30 C in summer. 35 C is normal, although I've never seen 40 C ever. One day it was at 39 C or something like that, but that's as high as it gets around here, in the hottest part of the year.
