Doesn't really do anything huge except change the color, fix that ugly D-stick, and add a touch screen, but it is an interesting prospect. What say you guys?

At least it has a d-pad... However if they didn't add hardware 3D acceleration it's not much of an upgrade.

Well, for one is has double the ram. That is a significant improvement. I'm waiting to get one of these, or to snipe a cheap F-100 off ebay when people start selling theirs.
Emulation isn't accurate. There is no substitute for real hardware!

It is also said to have better amps for the speakers.

The upgrades to this newer model are not worth having if you already have a GP2x.

Anyway, think about it; it is easy to put in a D-pad into a GP2x, it is easy to remove the front case and spray paint it. That's half of the improvements already!!

The touch screen is a great improvement... I wonder if people will start making NDS emulators for it?

The lack of hardware 3D acceleration is what's preventing decent N64 emulation, right? Once the GP2x can emulate N64 games at full speed, I'll probably buy one. 'Till then, *shrugs* I dunno, doesn't seem worth it. What kind of stuff do you guys do with your GP2x?

Edit: Well, crap... didn't realize how old this thread was... sorry for bringing it back. >.> Please don't flame me! It was still on the first page! >.<
