Why don't we quit giving a damn about the post count system? Anyways, if we did that dudex, the whole forum would be booted to 17 posts apiece (excluding some).

I'm just saying that if theirs a title of senior member that applies to those with a post count of over 1500 I think it should be relevant to what has actually been contributed to the forums not all the off topic crap we all talk about in forum 42. I know you guys really can't be bothered with changing insignificant stuff like this but I'm just offering my 2 cents.

... I have lots to say and I would suggest over 90% of my postings are relevant to either someone else's queries concerning modding and suchlike or my project work which is completely relevant (100%) as it assists in the documentation of how to replicate what I do. Most people just post finished pics, I prefer to share my knowledge in case others find them useful, which means lots of postings. Over and above the normal basic wiring and electronics others have done (and I have often adopted), I have shared: mounting a full sized button in a case with a tact switch (N64Advance), mounting a flat button on a tact switch (as on PDA), making homemade buttons with multi independent contacts (N64Advance), cutting D-pad shape and button holes from perspex (N64Advance, PDA), securing wood to perspex at 90 degree angles using mounting board triangles (N64Advance), overlapping exterior surface over case to make it look streamlined and finished (PDA), rewiring and modding a USB connector (PDA), extending SD port (N64Advance - for GP2x project), reverse spray painting (N64Advance), using a car adapter for the 3v line (N64Advance). All this contributes towards lots of posting (anyway, I enjoy it!).

The difference, as you will agree from your comments on this thread, are those members who don't do or intend to attempt any modding or portabilizing or even can assist those trying to do so; rather they prefer to post inane comments or irrelevant comments ("off to camp today", "doing exams", "back from camp now", etc, etc). That is not what this forum is all about (with the only exception of Forum 42 of course where these types of comments are a given).
