Guitar hero 3 patch problems

I've had a 360 for about a month now, and I just started getting the 3 red rings of death. the game will freeze (any game), I'll reset it, and it will happen again in about a half hour. Than it will start happening again until the 3 red rings of death come on.

Now my friends tell me that it has something to do with guitar hero 3 and a patch for it, and it's only happened since I've gotten guitar hero. I also have oblivion and starwars battlefront II if that means anything. Does GHIII have anything to do with it?

Sounds like you got the classic RROD problem: bad cooling.

It should be covered under the extended warranty; swap it for a new one.

What kind of 360 is it? Is it the newer kind with HDMI and the 65nm CPU?

If it isn't then its probably a cooling problem. If it's the newer 360's then it might be a cooling problem but it could be something else.

Either way it's under warranty so you should Call up M$.
