Ah, Thanksgiving. The holiday us Americans celebrate where the pilgrims and Indians got along for a feast, had fun, played games, and became friends... Yeah right! The pilgrims and Indians fought the entire time. Name one elementary school "fact" about the origins of Thanksgiving and I will tell you the truth.

Aw, HELL no!
I don't go to the stores on Black Friday. The grief and aggravation isn't worth $10 to me. (Besides, all the real discounts are "doorbuster" deals that are sold out 20 minutes after the store opens.)

Some people on Thanksgiving are thankful for their family and friends... I'm thankful for DAMN GOOD APPLE PIE!

I know europe is too vague, but I knew that if I said england you would say something about Columbus or the Vikings.benol wrote:You know what I meant.ZN13 wrote:The pilgrims came from europe?![]()
Europe is a little too vague. They came from England.
Why is it that every time I post in a thread, it dies?

Neither Columbus nor the Vikings came to what is now The United States. BTW, the pilgrims weren't the first here. The Spanish Conquistadors were.ZN13 wrote:I know europe is too vague, but I knew that if I said england you would say something about Columbus or the Vikings.benol wrote:You know what I meant.ZN13 wrote:The pilgrims came from europe?![]()

Actually, he was Italian, not Spanish. And he discovered the island of Hispanola, not America.dudex77 wrote:No, Cristobal Colón us Americans changed his name for some reason.benol wrote:Wasn't it Amerigo Vespuchi?
