lol, just finished reading the story.....I loved the N64p vs. DS part :D........congrats on your N64p, Ben, looks real nice :)!!!! I may even think about buying an N64p case kit :).........once again, looks great :).
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Not so fast...

It's developed problems! Sure it played fine yesterday, but now it shuts off after about 30 seconds. Then as I fiddled with it the sound broke! It still comes off the N64 but not the screen.

I think I'm gonna take a break from this project for a bit - I seriously can't handle the ANNOYANCES of it anymore.

It's not on the main page but you can still hit

http://www.benheck.com/Games/N64p_page1.htm

to see what it WAS (or will) be like...

And Ben, you should've checked out my site. I have most of the traces on the n64 controller mapped out into a nice table :-D

Ah yes, seems I have fried the dual stereo amp on the PSone board. I can get one from Digikey, hopefully I am able to install it. It's 28 pin surface mount... ug.

It will probably be a couple weeks before I continue working on the N64p - I simply cannot take the frustration anymore!

But yeah, enjoy the story in the meantime, share the link!

Perhaps the power regulators, cpu, or gpu are overheating?
