I got a PSone (the small white ones) and I want to make it portable. Since its already 6 years old, It kinda lost its spark. The black thing that holds the CD was broken and wont hold a CD properly anymore. I have no options at all to buy new parts. How do I fix it? I pulled out the spindle with pliers and now, nothing is left except for a shiny rod. Now I wish I didn't pull it out since its now useless.
Anyone can help me out? Thanks!
EDIT: This is my first post, and many, many more to come!
EDIT 2: I am using a stock DualShock and want to split it.

Here's a pic. I superglued (crazy glued) the spindle together. It worked, but it stopped holding the cd. I tried to "adjust" it by using pliers. I ripped the thing apart, leaving the metal rod. I think I have to pilfer from junk equiptment.RezCrimson wrote:If you post some pictures, we may be able to troubleshoot a little better.

P.S: Sorry if the picture is a bit blurry, AutoFocus is not my thing.

You might be able to harvest the disc holder from a cheap or broken portable CD player.
EDIT: A little photo hint: Next time you need to get really close to something, try using macro mode. Any decent camera should have that. Ambient lighting is best when you use it, but if you have to use the flash, diffuse it with a couple layers of Kleenex.

Searching... Searching...
Okay, so I tried salvaging from junk. Actually, I ran though 15 CD drives, 2 DVD Drives, 4 Computers and 2 Radios. No Dice. I must keep going... The crap that my neighbors throw might contain the treasure (spindle) somehow.

Heheheheheh....

Sometimes, they just give it away since they don't use it anymore. I just accept them, and hack them up.
EDIT: Oooh, my first smileys in the forum.
