The official iPhone is a waste of money picture thread!
Ok. If your like me who thinks the iPhone is a waste of money then poste some of your hate pics here. I just recently sold my enV and iPod Touch because I realized theres no reason to have something so expensive, when i can get the same thing for cheaper plus an extra laptop. So now what ive got is an iBook G3, iPod first generation, and a SLVR. How cool is that? Anyways, poste your pictures here!

2 gig 2nd gen iPod Nano + Nokia 2600 + Dell Axim X30 = My equivelant to the iPhone.
The Nano is great because it hold enough music, flash memory is durable, and it's small enough that you don't think twice about grabbing it on the way out the door in the morning. The Nokia 2600 is a good phone that pretty much just calls people, and the Axim surfs the web, does email, runs movies, etc.
There will be more of a point in buying the iPhone and the iPod Touch next year once Apple releases the development kit. Really they should have been a Smartphone and PDA, not just a cell phone and an MP3 player with a thyroid problem. They're a lot more like Palm Pilots and Blackberries than they're marketed as.
And of course everyone completely ignores the poor iPod Classic, where $250 will get you 80 gigs of music space to play with. (An extra $100 doubles the drive space to 160 gigs.)
I think Apple didn't release the kit sooner because maybe good ol' Steve is trying to save face. See, Apple used to make the Newton, a reasonably successful line of (huge) PDAs. When Steve Jobs came back into control in 1998, he dropped the Newton, Performa (bottom-end Macs intended for home users), and Mac clones (they were losing money like crazy). He probably just doesn't want to admit that killing the Newton wasn't the hottest idea.

Good one.Dr. KillGood wrote:I have a CD player and it is better then a Ipoop
Personally I think the iPhone is a fair contender, not a bad product much at all (hell lot better than the vast majority of other phone, hands down). It's just grossly overpriced as per Apple's strategy with all of their products.

I don't have anything that makes sound except for a computer. I own a 256mb mp3 player that crashes whenever you try to move music onto it with the program it came with, and isn't recent enough to be detected by the computer via usb. That's my only portable electronic, and guess where that is?
Hey, sup?
You could always buy an iFone if you hate the iPhone.

Hey, I got an X30, too! (You're probably the guy that told me to get mine!)bicostp wrote:2 gig 2nd gen iPod Nano + Nokia 2600 + Dell Axim X30 = My equivelant to the iPhone.![]()
This thing is awesome. You can download stuff on it without risking breaking it, and mine only cost $90!! The screen is about the same size (although half the resolution...) and watching movies works perfectly fine on it! (Not that I have any movies on it. Just random YouTube stuff, and my own videos.)
Now all I need is a nice big SD card to put all my song, and... some songs... And I'll be all set!
If you're looking at this post and it was made before 2008, just ignore it.

because a product that says "buy me because im better than XXXXXXXXX" is a pretentious overbearing peice of crap versus "buy me i am high quality and people think higly of that" something that speaks for itsself, personally i hate apple, they make decent products but they think that you shold get a new one every year, that you should also pay a 20% premium for their pretentious brand name, and charge you out the ass to fix something when it breaks RIGHT AFTER THE WARRANTY IS UP. im with bagels on this one, apple marketing and their buisness practices are crap
