Art *56K Beware*

Post by Shadeslayer »

Well I have been trying to make pictures on gimp from scratch. I have been working on different techniques and was wondering if anyone else had some art to show?

Here are some of my first art pieces. None of them are finished yet.

I did this last year

Image
Touched it up a little. Like I said still not done.

Image
Well this one is kind of going slow but still fun. I like the background.

Image
Making the outline of a zombie.

Made this for my girlfriend.

Show some of your own art work. If there is anyone of high skill in this area, I have some questions.

1)How would I make the eye on the phoenix?

2)What is the best technique for making the metal on the sword shine?

and 3)What is the best technique for making open wounds on the zombie?

I was bored in Physics one day. I've never tried drawing people before, so I tried:

Dang that is some good stuff. I wish I could draw people like that! Some people are just born talented.

And I'm not one of them (at least as far as drawing/art is concerned). That was the one thing I hated about elementary school: They made us color! Even now in high school, when we have to draw something, mine is either half-assed, or terrible (usually both).

I'm not a fan of drawing.

BTW: marshallh, those are incredible!

...

Quite odd.

I doodle...poorly. Apparently I can "sketch" things really great, but it was spongebob and he has no straight lines on him. :P

To others, sketch means taking an existing picture and freehanding a replica of a different size on paper.
Hey, sup?

His pants have straight lines.. They are square after all.

I doodle a LOT and every once in a while it turns out cool. I've made a few t-shirts from my designs, working my way towards threadless.com

Buy a shirt, will ya?

Zack has not one arty bone in his body...yeah. But we love him anyways...well sometimes.

But really, not to sound like an ad (this is a shameless plug, but hey, its my art) I am selling the T-Shirt at NO Profit. Probably costs about $15 (+s/h). Send me a message. (add me on FB!)
