SOLD (FS: SJ3, 60 to 72 pin converter, 2.5" Screen)

Post by Kurt_ »

I'm not sure if I want to make another portable. But I already have all the parts, and given the right price, I may sell them.

What I have (and what it cost me):

Family Converter: out of case, unmodified ($14)

SuperJoy 3: Out of case, I can put it back in if you please, original box, cheap smelly plastic and all. 76 billion built in games (Ice Climbers, Contra, etc) ($30) <= exaggeration

Intec Screen Pad: Out of case, transformer (the high voltage thing that powers the back light) removed, LED modded (4 LEDs, new backlighting material from a completely broken PSP I got, better diffusing than stock light and diffusing material, and damn close to it's brightness too). Working in the stock setup, but I haven't tried too hard to get it working with the SJ3. ($30)

And I'll add whatever extra stuff you may desire. Want tact switches? I have 150, I'll throw plenty in. The Hip Gear controller + casing? GBO case? Ask, and if I have it I'll throw it in.

I'm looking to break even, plus a little extra for the parts and time spent on the LED mod.

$100 and it's yours. $75 and you have a chance. This does not include shipping. Don't be afraid to negotiate with me.

$75 shipped? It may not be the best deal you'll ever come across, but I would really appreciate it if someone helped me out, especially if you're planning to make a NESp.

Absolutely nothing. It's just that I tried hooking it up to a system while the system was closed. Only Video and Video ground were connecting the systems. The last thing I did to the screen was made sure it worked, and it still does. I did not try anything else to make it work, as at this point I didn't want to open a system not deserving of being destroyed quite yet. I did not connect the grounds, power sources, or anything of the likes.

The speakers are disconnected right now, and a wire needs to be re-soldered, but I'll do that before I ship it out.

If you guys want, I'll take a video of it working (the screen and SJ3 w/ Family Converter), and some pictures of the parts and the likes. I can do that for tomorrow. (Go "Faith Day", the most made up catholic school holiday ever!).

Picture/Movie Time! The movies are big: 50mb each, and rather short. I didn't adjust any settings when I took them. I'm hoping Youube will compress them nicely. Basically it shows the Intec Screen pad and Super Joy 3 working, in case you don't believe me. As you can see, the LED mod looks great, if I do say so myself. Included is all the original backlight parts, if you feel the need to put those back in.

I lost some buttons for the SJ3 over the last month or so. They must have hopped out and ran away, because I left everything in one place. There's still plenty of buttons and rubber contacts to make a working controller. The A/V cable is included but not shown.

Everything is brand new, out of the package hardware, except for me messing with them a little. The SJ3 and Family Converter have NOT been soldered to or messed with whatsoever. Only the screen pad has been touched, and only to do an LED mod.

Also included is whatever notes I scribbled down while exploring the screen boards. It's Audio Amp is mapped out, and all connections I found are labeled.

Also pictured is all the casing, if you want it. The Intec Screen casing is unscratched, there's a screen protector that was removed and put back on, making it appear to be in bad condition. It is in 100% condition.

Links only, because everything is big:

Not really, I'm hoping to get it all sold, as I'm giving up this hobby. Soon I'm not going to have any time, and I'm hoping to get in to cars or home renovation or welding or something. Something less stressful.

If I can get a few questions answered in my thread, I'll buy everything but the screen.

...Sometime soon, I have no money right now.

Well the reason I wanted to trade was because I have no money on hand to spend. The money I do have money. But I can't get my hands on it till sometime next febuary when my parents pay me back.

Reason, My dad was out of work for about month for reason im not allowed to say. My parents asked me if they could barow mine and and my sisters money during that time. They said they would pay us back when income taxes come in febuary. So im cashless unless I get some early christmas money or I sell some things between now and febuary.

Still gonna hang out here when you can, though? I've pretty much given up any hope of making a portable, but theres still a wealth of knowledgeable members here to talk to.

I don't really have anything better to do. Maybe when I can drive I'll be out more, but until then I'm retaking last semester and it's rather easy, and apart from weekends I usually don't do many out-of-school social activities.

So I'll stick around for a while. I can almost guarantee I'll slowly fade out, most won't even notice I'm gone for quite some time.
