i love it actually. i might move the shoulders down some but i wouldnt know unless i had dimensions to go by. but looks awesome no doubt about it.

proportions actually look a lot better also in relation to the screen size and all.

I think a few of us may have mislead you about the controls.
If you account for the weight of the batteries, it may evenly distribute the weight.

I tried to guesstimate the width of the device. If the buttons are 7/16" (A rough standard) then the device is roughly 5 and 11/16". The cartridges are roughly 5 and 7/16", and you have space on either side of the cartridge for the L and R buttons. I don't have hard measurements for the SNES Mini board, but I may be able to get them if they would help you.

Have you thought about ventilation for the unit? I don't know if it is just cosmetic or not, but SNES Minis have ventilation holes around the sides.

To clear a few things up, are you using the standard or mini version of the SNES?

yeah the shoulder buttons on back should be lower. when holding it like that they should be level with the face buttons or just a bit higher.

I am using a standard European SNES... I am not really clear on how it should look, this is just something I trough together. Next week I'll probably take apart the SNES and the SNES controller to see big everything is and I'll also try to connect it to a PSone screen. After that I'll hopefully see how it will lie inside the case. And I'll change the case more.

A question.
Do I need ventilation holes?

PS I counted with that the SNESp will be very heavy...

PPS Why dose not the whole world use only the metrical system or only inches?

The US uses inches and whatnot because we're stubborn, and everybody else uses the metric system because it makes sense.

No, the SNES does not need ventilation holes. I've played mine for hours and heat is no issue. It may get warm depending on your setup, but it's not a hot system.

It looks great - just put the batteries near the bottom (under the controls) and weight won't be an issue.

If this works, it'll be one awesome portable!

I've just bought a new SNES and took it apart yesterday. And it was really ugly. It felt like I was murdering the snes

. But it survived.
Just thought you guys would like to know

PS. I have a name for the SNESp. I'll name it Behemoth because of the size of it. It's gonna be a really big one
