Altoids Ipod charger

Post by Gordon1 »

well, my friend wanted me to make one of these for him, so I agreed.

Pics:

1. outside (hmm looks like an ordinary altoids tin) 1st pic
2. Hold on wait a minute, is that a USB port? 2nd pic
3. oh no, the all so hated inside shot, check out the pretty swirls in the metal. 3rd pic
4. Horray it charges. 4th pic

So, I cant take all the credit for this so I will post a link to the one I used....
ipod thing

Now, he slices and dices away at those battery holders to make them fit. One of those costs $2.99 at Radio Shack. You can buy the one I used for $2.99 and you just have to gently wedge it in there.

So all in all, between the altoids $2.99, the battery holder $2.99, and the USB $0 (I had an extra) this hack cost me a total of $6.

Neat little project! :P But seeing as it is a completed work, it really does belong in the News section.

Moving...
