Guess what this is...

Post by wasted_druid »

It's for my Nanotendo (NESp).

The picture is blurry on purpose. That way you really have to work to guess it. (or maybe the camera just took it that way)

looks nice, It seems like you're trying to just use the nes' main chips to create a nes?
I was thinking of doing something like that until I found out about the noac.
Either that or it might be a multi game cart, or just something else.

Gannon is way off, who's next up to bat? *hint* That's 2 completely seperate circuits working together. (and the led bar isn't part of the finished product, it's just there to let me see if it's working)

I'd say a power circuit, as it has a regulatior seen up at the upper left.

*GRIN* This is fun. The power regulator up in the corner is just to provide 5v to the circuits. Not an nsf player. All you need for a video amp is 1 transistor, so it's not that, and there aren't going to be any LEDs when I finish it (they're just for testing) so it's not a power supply. If nobody guesses I'll tell at the end of the day. *hint* The big long black thing is actually 2 ic's. They're different, but related, and they're in seperate circuits.

Nope. Oh, I can't hold it in any longer. It's so close to working I'm jumping for joy. It's a wireless 2nd player controller. The guts anyway. I finally got it to broadcast 8 bits. That's all I really need. Then I just hook up the output from the decoder chip to the nes controller's bit shift register thingy (the chip that was inside my NES controller. Took hours to figure out what is was doing since I don't know much about electronics, then after I finally figure it all out, I find a nice schematic on the internet explaining it. Arrgh), wire it to the console, and it'll work. I am a bit worried that response time won't be good, but I can worry about that later.

not bad, although this makes you bring the 2nd player controller with you.
I think it's a good idea, but if you're using a 5" or less screen, how far away would the 2nd player really sit? Although I suppose it reduces the weight of having the cord hanging from the unit.

If you get that to work, and it doesn't add much space to the portable, that would be one of the coolest add-ons to a portable. When you get the bugs worked out, please send it in to doomportables. :D
