Have you figured out the battery? I found out with my pocket pc that 3 rechargeable AA/AAAs can work as a good replacement for a lithium battery.

I was planning on just buying a battery from eBay if I got this thing to work.

I did, but I broke it.

I wanted to give it a cool paint job, so I scratched off all the paint (except that on the touchpad) from the front. But I scratched the paint off of the raised parts in between the buttons as well. Now, only the volume slide works (it's in the middle), so this thing is as good as trash, seeing as I'm low on conductive metal paint at the moment, and an excellent condition used Micro Photo goes for $30 shipped on eBay.

Anyone want to mess with this thing? Shipping + a few pity dollars = sale.

So is it a Micro Photo, then? What exactly is wrong with it (what did you screw up and how is it fixed, or at least dealt with)? Does the hard drive work, if so, how big is it?
I have a 4GB CF card I could throw in it if the hard drive is dead, I just want a smaller, higher capacity alternative to my PSP for playing music.
PM me if you're interested in selling it for not much pity money.

I'm flip flopping a lot. It's working again magically. I gave it a rushed coat of paint (with a foam pad because the paint bottle broke and the air-brush wouldn't work), and will sand it nicely tomorrow, except that some gouges show through the paint (hopefully disguised somewhat by the sanding).

I'm pretty sure I can get it 100% working (except for some smt led's i broke off... :?). Not like the blue glow would show through this paint or anything.

The point is, it's mine. If it decided to permanently break, I'll shoot you a PM.
