Wii Component Cables
Just a quick question: Do third party Wii component cables look good? Like, better than composite and the like? And if you've seen 3rd party ones vs. 1st party ones, how would you say 3rd party cables hold up? Thanks!

Re: Wii Component Cables
I have a good 3rd party one. Looks nice, way better than composite!

Isn't that the exact point of them? A cable is a cable is a cable. I have a 3rd party component cable, and I'm sure it's just like the 1st party - looks fine. Don't expect to see too much of a change though, 480p is only so great.CronoTriggerfan wrote:Like, better than composite and the like?
Not sure of my cable's brand, it's not printed anywhere on the cable. Honestly, just eBay or Google "Wii Component Cable." They're all the same.
EDIT: My cable. Despite it being Madcatz, it works fine.

These are mine.
The only reason I ask is because I've heard people complain about third-party cables before, primarily Xbox 360 VGA cables. Just makin' sure, to be safe.
Reason being is that I'm picking up a 32" HDTV for my gaming room for Christmas, and since everything that'll be hooked up to it is in HD except my Wii, I figured there's no reason not to get it running 480p.

I have the Penguin United premiums, which are unavailable right now according to their website. They're a big improvement over the composites on my TV (46" DLP) and the build quality is excellent.
And since we're talking about PU, the HDMI cable they sell for like $24 is insanely well-built. You could tow a car with the thing.
