Lithium-Ion Camcorder Battery for NESp?

Since the LED mod isn't working for my pocket tv, I put the original light back in it. But now since it will use more power, I need a higher capacity battery. I was thinking about getting this one, or something similar. Will this work for a NOAC and a pocket tv? I read somewhere that to use lithium ion batteries, the device has to be specifically designed for them, or the battery must have a built-in circuit that controls it- or something like that. So I wanted to make sure before I blow 50 bucks on it.

yeah, you can probably use that battery....I'm not sure, but it most likely has a small built in circuit so you should be able to use it for a NESp

I think the circut things just for charging the battery, though I could be wrong.

No, you're right

It's just for charging.
That battery looks exactly like the one ben uses, except it's a knockoff.

BTW, the way I would power the whole setup is like this: Power the pocket TV off the 7.2V and power the NOAC off the 5V regulator on the pocket TV.

But you could probably still run the whole setup off the old battery, the whole thing (even with the fluorescent) probably only uses about 600 ma.

OK, I think I will get one then. I ought to be able to get about 6 hours of play from it.

With the 4 AA NiMh's I was using it would've been about 3 hours and 20 minutes.

Then again, this battery looks tempting. And for only $40 more, there is a 12200Mah version.

Well its rechargable and relativly small (compared to a 12A sealed lead acid battery.)
