I agree wholeheartedly. Mayo is disgusting.

But people do all kinds of crazy disgusting stuff. I don't often order grilled cheese in restaurants, but I've had them arrive with mayonnaise before.

But I try to eat in restaurants as little as possible.

The best way to make grilled cheese sandwiches is as follows:

Take 2 slices of bread, and put the in a toaster together (so that only one side gets toasted).

Heat a pan, butter the toasted sides, and put a slice of cheese or two and some ham on the toasted sides (henceforce referred to as "the middle").

Butter the outside (not-toasted sides), heat until browned, flip, heat until browned, serve hot. Cut it diagonally first, of course!

I had never thought to toast is first that's a great idea. Nevermind my toaster is to small to fit two slices in one slot.

I made that up now, actually. Usually I just toast it, but in toasting the two in one slot, you don't over-toast any part of the bread. I hate having non-toasty insides.

I usually put 4 slices of cheese in the middle, one sandwich becomes a LOT more filling.

Bleh, I can't stand too much melted cheese, it literally makes me want to barf. I'd rather have a few sandwiches with one slice each. I like the toasted bread best anyways, nothing compares to the way a frying pan toasts bread.

lets see...well, I don't eat cheap food (except Ramen Noodles) very often...my lunch usually consists of Pasta Roni Garlic Noodles and 50% of the time 10 Jumbo Garlic Shrimp and a Mountain Dew or Root Beer.

But then again theres always Hot Pockets...great for WoW Raids

..and of course a Soda.

I also enjoy Hot-Ham and Cheese on Pretzel Roll sandwich's (Those things are the Gods of Sandwich's)
