What Headphones?

After 3 years of service, my old headphones have finally died on me

Means I can get a new pair though

Basically I'd like a small pair of on ear headphones that sound good. Budget is Â£50 or $100. My choices so far are

Sennheiser PX100 http://www.lordpercy.com/sennheiser_px100_review.htm
Sennheiser PX200
Grado SR60 http://www.stereophile.com/headphones/532/index1.html

Either them or anything you'd like to advise.

More information about those headphones would be nice. Amazon doesn't give you technical details about them, which doesn't help at all.

I just picked up a pair of Sony MDR-V150s for $15 at K-Mart today. They're more comfortable than my old "full" pair (the old ones are around-the-ear, these are on-the-ear), and have clear sound through the entire audio range (my old ones got a bit flat in the bass and treble.) I only have to turn the volume on my iPod up a little more than my old on-ear set, which was just a cheap pair that came with a CD player. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have an inline volume control.

Impedance: 24 ohms at 1 kHz
Sensitivity: 98 dB/mW
Frequency Response: 16-22,000 Hz
Cord: Approx. 6' (2 m)

Overall, they're great for the price. Pick one up if you find one.

The Sennheisers are nice, but I was looking into the grado's a while back and apparently there one of the best at there price point. I'd say go Grado.

ive heard good things about senheisser. from what i hear grados have great sound quality but their build quality is sometimes lacking, personally i love my pioneer SE505s for the ol skool factor and decen sound quality

Why don't you just get a regular pair of headphones instead of expensive ones?

I've had the Sennheiser HD280s for about a year, and they sound excellent and are very well-built. And they isolate sound VERY well.

The open-backed HD595s get rave reviews too, but they're pricier and obviously don't block outside noise as well.

Because it means the music sounds better

I'm one of those guys who still listens to vinyl and puts WAVs on his MP3 player. All in the sound I believe.

Those Pioneers are sooooooo coool

Just a tad large though.

I think I'll be buying the Grados, but have ages to decide as I'm sorta broke

I like sony "earbuds" or creative earbuds. more later, one hand is holdfing a battery and if I slip, firmware upgrade = fail.

I'm actually using creative headphones from my Zen. Don't like them, too uncomfortable. Never liked the feel of in ear headphones.

I had a nice pair for my Zen that I liked a nice deal until someone smacked another freind over the head with them and broke them.

I have Senneiser EH-150s that I picked up at Circuit City a year ago. They are the best earphones I've ever owned. All other brands, even with deep cups, hurt my ears by crushing the earpieces of my glasses into my head.

For portable headphones I use my stock iPod set.
