Sony Mylo: Opinions, anyone?

Post by CronoTriggerfan »

My sister's birthday is coming up, and she wants one of two things, either a digital media manager/online client, or a Crimson/Black DS Lite. My mom said she was planning on getting her the DS for Christmas, so that leaves the PMP. At first I was looking at the iPod touch as the ideal choice, and even though I hate them, she'd like it. However, it's simply too expensive.

After looking into it a bit more, I found that the Mylo's price had dropped substantially since it's announcement, and I always thought it was a neat little device. It strikes me as something a teenage girl/txtr would like. But before I went and laid down the dough, I was wondering, do you guys have any thoughts about it, whether you own one or don't? And is there, perhaps, an alternative device that's better that I'm forgetting about?

Well, my brother's friend paid $300 for one before the touch came out and I suppose he likes it. I played with it a little, but it just seems like an N-gage QD with skype and wifi.

I think it's great idea, CTFan. It seems to fit the demographic pretty well. I always wanted to play with one, but thought the $300 price tag was way to steep for something I'd probably play with for a week and then neglect.
