New N64p project: B64!!!

This project is officially dead. The last thing I ever did was remove the a/v and power plug, and that's it. I should start with something simpler, like an NES.

There are enough guides and hints on the N64 forum to get to from the start to the end of the project. You don't have to use batteries, see my sticky; you could make yours use the PSone screen PSU, TI card or equivalent and run your system off mains until you buy batteries suitable - just make sure you have some room in your case to take them, if you decide to include them later.

Read the threads, all you can on this forum; they tell you all you need to know. That's how I started - research.

Don't give up before you started - building an N64p is actually not that hard, as long as you are prepared and done research.

Well, I have no experience in hardware whatsoever, and I'm only 13. I know how I'd do it, but I would need someone else to do it for me. I'd be better off doing an NES or SNES as my first hardware project of any source.

I'll probably be labeled as a fanboy for saying this, but...

SNES FTW! They can take a lot of abuse and it's really straightforward to build one. Simple, even.

SNES FTW! They can take a lot of abuse and it's really straightforward to build one. Simple, even.

SNES's are pretty easy and very sturdy, but I'd say the NOAC is the way to start!

It's as easy as wiring up the A/V lines and the power, essentially, and their biggest point is that they're ridiculously cheap!
