Custom External Battery Pack

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Custom External Battery Pack

Post by johnbjuice »

For my N64p I will be using 6 rechargeable D-cells for power - I want to make them into an external pack.

How? Is there a certain way I should do it, or should I just solder them together and wrap them in something to keep them together?

I really don't want to buy a battery holder, as this would make the batteries even more clunky, but do I have to?

Don't they sell a type of shrink wrap for that? I remember seeing some at batteryspace.com

I remember the time-bomb N64. Didn't that use D cells?

(Found it through a search for "time bomb" in the N64 section)

The idea of using piping to house batteries is a good idea...yeah. It could work.

Basically, my N64p will be wall or external battery powered, and I am trying to make a large pack for car trips and stuff.

The D-Cells are 10,000 mAh...yes I will get awesome battery life.

Any other ideas? They're quite welcome!

Ok, I have got plans made. :D

I know the batteries are heavy, but once again, they're external. Like in your pocket.

Anyways...

Closerize please!
