What are some uses /games/stuff to do on this laptop

It has a
233 mhz processor
32 mb of ram (upgradable)
3gb of HDD space
NeoMagic NM2160 Graphics Controller
Cd Drive
Network card port
And thats it.So what could I use this for oh and its a Compaq Presario 1622

What kind of stuff do you want to do? I would suggest StepMania, but I've never actually played it. I ain't gots no songs for it.

EDIT: I have a crappy old Compaq Presario 700. Just thought you'd want to know!

ZDaemon is good. It's a multiplayer Doom client. There is this MMORPG that me and my friend used to play called Endless Online. Both of those should work on your computer as they were very basic.

Throw 98 on it, max out the RAM if you can, install AbiWord and Firefox, and you'll have a decent work laptop. As for games, it probably doesn't have any 3D acceleration, but it should run up to 16 bit console emulators without problems. And of course most of the old games at Home of the Underdogs will work just fine. (In fact you may need a slowdown utility to get some to work properly.

I had a laptop with lower specs then that and installed a simple Linux distribution on it and used it for notes in my classes.

If you want games you can get aways with running everything up to 16-bit, like the Genesis and SNES.

Only other gaming use you can do with it are the old DOS games. Yeah like Adventure on Monkey Island, Willy Beamish, Indiana Jones: Atlantis, and others. It could be made to be a great DOS gaming box.

Besides that if you really want to be geeky and you know how to configure a router, make the laptop into one. All you need is a second NIC, a router based Linux distribution and you can go. I should tell you if you're not into Linux/UNIX a lot you might not like the fact you'll have to use the command-line and that only.
