That sucks about the price on the PSone screen in Canada. I did find when I was searching that best deals I found on the Hip gear Screens were from futureshop.ca
I don't know if anyone has posted this (I would be suprised if not) but they are on sale on the website for $30 w/ free shipping, but the offer is only open to canadian residents.... so it is kind of a payback to those who can actually get to a tru that sells the screens...

Yeah, ive seen those before, I never got one because no one had worked with them, and I wasnt sure how good a $30 would be.Guest223 wrote:That sucks about the price on the PSone screen in Canada. I did find when I was searching that best deals I found on the Hip gear Screens were from futureshop.ca

Not to sound desperate or anything... Although I am... Help!
I am very sorry to dig up an old thread but I have been looking for an answer for days now. I recently acquired a PSone screen. To my dismay when I plugged the power in, nothing happened, It didn’t turn on. Unfortunately I don't have a PS one to test the screen on. I hope the mod you quoted is the fix. May I ask where the original quote is from? Do you have a link? I would like to read more before potentially ruining my $35 screen...HK-47 wrote:There must be two differnt models of screen or something, some of them need playstations to work and some dont. If you feel comfortable with opening up a screen do this.MR.MOD wrote:Here it is
The 12th pin on the first slot needs 5v so the screen will turn on. You'll need to solder a wire from the 12th pin to the 5v leg on the 7805 regulator.
If you arn't going to hook up a headphone jack you'll need to connect all of the headphone wires together.
You only can hook up composite video to the 2nd slot. It won't work if you connect it to the sync line. I haven't tested the sync out line but I'm pretty sure it's sync out.
