External RF board

Hey, I'm kind of new to the whole 'portable video game' world. I was gonna get Ben's book and build his hand-crafted SNESp when i got the money.
What I was wondering, he only leaves video to the small 5" PSone screen, and theres no room inside that thing for a RF board. So, I was thinking, i would have a switch on the system to switch video from the PSone-screen, to a video-out port, from there I would plug in an RF board, the RFB would then have a video-out that sends the TV signal to the TV via a Ninteno RF Switch.

Does this seem plausible?

all you do is connect 2 wires from the SNES to the PSOne screen, one for the signal, the other for ground. It's the same thing as the yellow plug when you plug in the yellow, white, and red plugs on your DVD player, just with a different plug. Electrically it's the same, though. When you get to it, we can help you if you need it.
