Gamecube Portable Workthread!

I finally got the curage to work on this. Finally. FINALLY! STELLA! FINALLY!

Tools and items I have so far:
Dremel (Woot.)
Soldering Iron (15w/30w)
Interact Mobile Monitor (Crappy ps1 screen. )
Gamecube
Lots of games, cords, controllers
RCA Couplers (I use this screen for EVERYTHING. lawl)
Various tools, and expierience with cutting from my dad. (No more exacto knives.... maybe. Or should I go back and use the chisel xD)

Things I'm missing:
Case Idea's
Monies
A Screwdriver to get the gamecube apart.

My freind says, that he will trade me a dreamcast, 2 controllers, a mem card, and a lot of games for my gamecube that has 2 controllers, about 5 games, and a memory card.

Is this a good deal? Should I trade my Gamecube for the dreamcast?

I kinda want to make a portable gamecube, as I like gamecube and I have a lot of stuff to already make one.. But I want a dreamcast. (Im not gonna portablize the DC, I dont think.)

So yea, tell me if this is a good deal on my end, or not.

In my experience, GCs are pretty resilient, both case wise and electronics wise. I've lost count of the number of times I've shorted my GC PSU, and then had the whole thing working again just by grounding the plugs.

If you need a cheap screwdriver, I'm not sure which one the GCN needs, but dealextreme.com has a phillips and triwing for 2.00USD, with free shipping, I ordered mine from them, they're of good quality, and came in like 1.5-2 weeks from Hong Kong.

The GC has 4 4.5mm Gamebit screws on the outside (i.e. holding the case together), and the rest are regular Philips head screws inside. Triwing screws are only used in Nintendo hand held consoles, I think

Wii and controllers use Triwings, as well.
