Meh, and you couldn't have just rewired the slot for the expansion pak in such a way that one could simply choose to plug in a jumper pak, or an expansion pak? Would've been simpler prolly. Though you are a portable making god, so don't pay attention to the weak, feeble minded me. :P

Ok, I'm gonna take a stroll to the hardstore store, get some screws, and come back all refreshed to FINISH IT!

Wish me well...

PS: For sale: Huge pile of excess N64 crap - cheap!
Do the busted expansion packs still work? I need one without any solder on the contacts if you have one :)

I've rewired A LOT of stuff in the past years and I see no reason (beyond fate and karma/etc) that the expansion PAK(S) (with an "S") that I've tried to wire up won't work.

The traces are pretty thin so I'd think ultra ATA wire would be fine, used it for a lot of other stuff A-OK. I simply cannot figure out the reason, and it's driving me mad trying.

I stopped working on it today (Tuesday) to take a break but tomorrow will hopefully finish it up and have the "making of" (complete with N64 VS Nintendo DS) ready by Wednesday/Thursday.

RE: guy with a Ninja avator: EVERY expansion pack I have laying around has solder on it :) But it's clean and low so it still inserts.

How much do you want for an expansion pack?
Also, do you know if they still work? :)

I think a portable dreamcast by mr benheck (as someone called him (not the someone)) would be very good instead of an n64, n64 is ok, but not nintendos best console..

Somebody please buy my Dreamcast >_> £20+shipping :)

That's not just ANY ninja, it's Ryu Hayabusa! THE Ninja! :P

So would the expansion packs still work in a normal N64? Do you still have the cases for them? And how much are they?

Ryu: .....

Ryu: And who was that woman?

Ryu: ......

Ryu talks with periods A LOT!

Um, a Dreamcast instead of an N64? The N64p is practically DONE!

And I need a portable break!
