Couldn't you just cut the cartridge slot off, leaving parts of the pins left soldered to the board, for an easier time?
Rather that de-soldering 72 pins, re-soldering those 72 pins to 72 wires and soldering those 72 wires to the board, you could cut the 72 connections, solder 72 wires to 72 pins and solder 72 wires to the pins left soldered to the board? For the Yobo NES, this could be much easier, since de-soldering the pins would no longer be a problem.
This seems such a simple solution to me, it makes me wonder why no one has mentioned it before. Has anyone mentioned/used this method and I just haven't been looking?

I already have to remove the cartridge connector to save space. It just seems to me that the original connector would be easier to work with...kidw/32+systems wrote:Or you just use the Floppy connectors and you only have to solider in the wires for the noac's then for real hardware you put the connectors on each end and no solidering at all.
