Come meet the "Hecken-Bobble"

Post by jeffslot »

Hecken- Bobble - "Inspired by Ben Heckendorn, & able to play Puzzle Bobble"

It's using a psone screen (what else).
A sony Infolithium type battery (7.4v 6000 mah)javascript:emoticon('')
Neo - Geo Mv1c

Well guys this is as close to finished as I'm going to get on this project without a little help.

Here are my main issues:

No Audio - ugh, no idea why.
Need smaller screws to hold front of case on better - no problem.
Add a 4th button (should be no problem).
Need to paint the case (as soon as audio issue is resolved)

Still let me know what you think...

Removed audio amp & left & right audio pickups

These wires are connected to slot 2 on the psone screen (see the portable screen sticky) to wires numbered 2: Right Audio In, and 3: Left Audio In

Headphone jack bypass

This could be part of the audio issue, I must admit I wasn't really sure if I should do this bypass or not.

Cut Audio traces

Also another possible audio issue. I tried to cut them, did I get them?

I doubt it will sell, but his portable is for sale. I'm already pretty sick of looking at it, & know I can do better next time.

Although the name makes me shudder, that's a cool portable. Hey, audio or not - it's a working portable Neo Geo!

Wouldn't the no audio part be due to the fact that you didn't put the 12 volts needed into the audio amp, that someone told you to do in your thread.

Edit: Yeah, I know twisted, I saw that you didn't have the full set so I grabbed my picture.

Valium,

Nah, if you remove the audio amp & get the signal straight off the chip, you're not supposed to need the 12v (It's what ben did on his portable also)
