Xbox 360 case

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Xbox 360 case

Post by Xbox360 Caser »

I want to make my xbox 360 look exactly like this.

http://www.fstop-blues.com/uploaded_ima ... 798994.jpg

I can buy that case on a mod site for like $80 - but that's frigen to expensive.

I read the tutorial on frankencases so I decided to try it.

I have -
  • A White Xbox360 Case
    Antec 80mm BLUE LED FAN
    X-Acto Knife #1
    Acrylic Sheet .080" 8 x 10 (plexiglass)
    1/4 Sheets Clamp-on Sandpaper
    Painter's Putty '53'
Black and Red Cans of Plastic Enamel (Spray Paint)
    Painter's Tape
A Dremel (At least my dad says he has one in the attics o.o)
What else do I need, and how do I go about starting this project?

I want to make the big X window, install the fan, Spray paint the whole case black to make it look like the xbox360 Elite, and use a stencil of my favorite shirt company's logo. (Famous is the company, and I want to put little F symbols on the box, I have the stencil)

Any Ideas? Reply, PM, AIM, MSN, or even get me on Xbox live and help.

Thanks for reading,
~Future Case Modder.

You will most definitely need a dremel for this. And the X-acto knife isn't too useful except for cutting tape in this case.

You want to draw out the design on the case, dremel out the hole, sand it smooth, sand it smoother, then paint. Next, shove a piece of plexiglass behind the case and you've got your hole.

Add LEDs, and voila!
Hey, sup?

Sounds like a sweet project, and I think you've got all your supplies figured out. If you come to a spot that you need help on, let us know!

Thanks a lot guys, I'm about to start all this right now, so I'll start making the hole, paint it, and plexi it in!

I'll take some pics.
